These Herb Oatmeal Biscuit Range are home made using fresh herbs and local Organic Wholemeal Flour and Oatmeal. They are rolled, baked and cut in a new kitchen, converted from old stables at Alderton Hall Farm in Shropshire.

The herbs are grown in a two acre walled garden on the Shropshire/Powys border. The Walls maintain a favourable microclimate through the year and the soil is free draining, essential for the growth of the Mediterranean herbs such as Thyme and Rosemary.

Shropshire Fine Herbs always observe best practices and the herbs are grown without the addition of any artificial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides.

Commenting on the awards, Annie Laughton of Shropshire Fine Herbs said, "We are so excited to have won 4 out of the 7 gold awards in the highly competitive "Biscuits for Cheese" competition. We only started making cheese biscuits just before Christmas 2006 and to have our products recognised in this way makes all the hand rolling and cutting worthwhile. Our aim has always been to use the best possible local ingredients and while the fresh herbs are our own, we are very fortunate to have Pimhill Mill as our neighbours where we can buy all our organic flours and oatmeal. Lovage ~ With a taste similar to celery, Lovage best accompanies soft delicate cheeses.

Rosemary ~ Rosemary leaves a distinctive, almost ginger finish and is perfect with mature hard cheeses.
